Baked Rice

Today I am sharing a new way to make rice! It might not be new to you but it is to me. I wanted a different way to cook rice. I came up with this and it turned out to be a way to make the fluffiest rice I’ve ever had! Give it a try! I used the Pampered Chef Deep Covered Baker. If you don’t own this, try it with a 9 x 13 pan sprayed with Pam and cover tightly with foil. It should give you the same results.

I made double what I normally would to have extra and freeze some. Place 2 cups of uncooked rice in the pan. Add 1 TBSP butter and 1 TBSP oil and any spices you like. Pour 5 cups of boiling water over the rice. Cover and bake at 350 for 1 hour, no peeking! Delicious and very fluffy!!! If you want more flavor you could use Chicken stock instead of the water. ENJOY!
