Celebration Cookies

Today’s recipe is one that is present at all our celebrations! I have shared this recipe before but thought it was worth repeating! Anytime we have a birthday I make these cookies into cupcake shapes. I even have friends request them at their parties as well and I have taken orders for them from others. It wouldn’t be a celebration without them! So for my blog anniversary, I give you Celebration Cookies! ENJOY!

Sugar Cookies

3 cups flour

1 ½ tsp. baking powder

1 egg

1 cup butter (2 sticks)

1 tsp. almond extract

1 cup sugar

Preheat oven to 350 degrees.

Cream butter and sugar until light and fluffy. Add egg and extract. Mix dry ingredients and add. Mix well but DO NOT over mix (you will have tough cookies).

Roll and cut out.

Bake 8 to 10 minutes.
