Cherry Ice Pops

Today I am sharing a frozen treat made with fruit! I saw this on the Chew and made it by changing it slightly per my taste. I did have to buy a freezer pop mold but you could use a Dixie cup and popsicle stick. Very tasty and not too sweet! I made all the syrup called for but I tasted it after putting half in and decided it truly didn’t need all the syrup. You could probably half the recipe if you wanted or add the extra to tea to make sweet tea! ENJOY!

Sour Cherry Ginger Ice Pops
Slightly adapted from The Chew, Carla Hall’s recipe
1 1/2 cups Water
3/4 cup Granulated Sugar
1 Lime (Sliced into Rounds)
1 chunk of Ginger, peeled
1 16 ounce bag Frozen Cherries, thawed
Freezer pop mold
In a medium sauce pot, bring Water, Sugar, Lime, and Ginger to a simmer. Simmer for about 5 minutes. Take ginger and limes out and allow to cool.
I only used half of the syrup. You can save the other half for sweet tea! Puree the syrup with the cherries. Pour mixture into freezer pop mold. Freeze 3-4 hours or overnight.
