Baking cookies is comforting, and cookies are the sweetest little bit of comfort food. They are very bite-sized and personal. Sandra Lee
My inspiration for today’s cookie creation came from the Peanut Butter Blossom cookie! I have a group of friends and family who LOVE them! I wanted to make a chocolate cookie. I had a few bags of the mini Hershey kisses in my pantry so I created a Chocolate Blossom cookie! I simply used the recipe for Triple Chocolate Espresso cookies with a few minor adjustments. Looks like another success in the kitchen! ENJOY!

Chocolate Blossoms
1 cup flour
1/2 cup Hershey cocoa
1/2 tsp baking powder
pinch of salt
1/2 cup softened unsalted butter
1 1/2 cups sugar
2 eggs
1 tsp vanilla
full 1/2 cup chocolate chips melted, melted
Mini Hershey kisses
Beat the butter and sugar until light and fluffy. Add the eggs and vanilla. Mix in the melted chocolate. Add in the flour, cocoa, baking powder and salt. Mix to combine. Place on parchment lined baking pans, I used my small scoop. Bake at 350 for 12 minutes. Immediately place a mini kiss on top of each cookie then remove to a rack to cool. YUMMY!
