Chocolate Buttercream

I saw this online somewhere and thought it was good to share! If you’re lonely today, visit an elderly neighbor living alone. If you’re scared, help someone be brave, if you’re stuck, encourage someone else to take a small step. If you’re depressed, make someone smile. If your heart is broken, help someone mend theirs. As lives change, yours will too.

I recently saw Ina Garten, the Barefoot Contessa make a delicious looking Double Fudge cake! I enjoy all of Ina’s recipes and they always turn out great! I knew the men in my life would LOVE this cake. It has yummy ingredients in it and looked wonderful! So I gave it a try! It was a HUGE hit! You know it is good when everyone you serve wants to take some home! If you search the recipe name online you can find it. I decided to create my own chocolate buttercream for the frosting! I am sharing my creation with you today! I hope you enjoy it!

Buttercream frosting is very easy to create and the possibilities for flavors are endless!

Chocolate Buttercream Frosting

1 Cup unsalted butter, softened

1/2 cup cocoa powder

1 tsp vanilla

1/4 cup milk

3 1/4 cups powdered sugar

Combine the butter and cocoa powder in a mixer. Blend until smooth. Add the vanilla and milk, blend. Gradually add the powdered sugar until you get the consistency you want. If it turns out thicker than you want add a splash more milk. If it is thinner add more powdered sugar. ENJOY!
