Club Sandwich in a bread bowl

When they saw the star, they rejoiced exceedingly with great joy. Matthew 2:10

I am wishing you a week filled with the comforts of the real meaning of Christmas!

Today’s recipe is so quick and easy! It is also super delicious! It would be perfect for these busy holiday times served as lunch or dinner. You need to make it ahead of time too, another plus!

I saw a picture of something similar to this and it reminded me of this awesome bread bowl Italian sandwich someone once made a group of us! I decided to make it into a club sandwich. Mine is a basic sandwich but oh the possibilities! You can add all kinds of spreads, even a bruschetta mixture with your meats would be good! Use your creativity here! ENJOY!

Club Sandwich in a bread bowl

1 round loaf of bread, I used the Wegmans bakery version but purchase it the same day for the best freshness

brown sugar Ham

Organic oven roasted turkey

provolone cheese

lettuce

tomato

Slice the top off the bread bowl and set aside. Simply pull the middle out of the bread but not too much. You can use this bread for breadcrumbs for another dish. Then all you do is layer! I started with one meat then the cheese then the second meat, lettuce, tomato then another layer of meats. Place the top back on and wrap tightly with plastic wrap. Place in the frig for at least one hour. Slice right before serving! Mmm Good!
