Confetti Spaghetti

Here is a tried and true recipe! I have been making this spaghetti for over 10 years. I’ve made it for parties and it is always my go to recipe if I need to take a meal to someone. It is also usually requested for my families birthday dinners. Whenever I make my parents a meal to take to them, my dad always wants this! It is quick, easy and delicious and VERY well liked! I hope it becomes a part of your family recipes! Enjoy!

Confetti Spaghetti

Ingredients

1 package spaghetti

1 pound ground beef

1 can (8 ounces) tomato sauce

1 tablespoon brown sugar

1/2 teaspoon onion powder

3/4 cup shredded Trader Joe three cheese blend

Directions

Cook spaghetti according to package directions. In a large skillet, cook beef over medium heat until meat is no longer pink; drain. Stir in tomato sauce, brown sugar, and onion powder. Drain spaghetti; add to the beef mixture. Transfer to a greased 13-in. x 9-in. baking dish. Cover and bake at 350° for 20 minutes. Uncover; sprinkle with cheese. Bake 5 minutes longer or until cheese is melted.

You can add more tomato sauce if you need to stretch the servings. I occasionally add half a chopped onion and chopped mushrooms to the beef while cooking. Also I usually add some extra cheese into the mixture before baking.

This recipe was adapted from a Taste of Home recipe.
