Easy as Pie Apple Crisp

I love making apple crisp, it truly is easy as pie to make and if you do a little prep work they are even easier! I like to make a batch of the topping and leave it in my frig then you just take it out while making dinner or in the morning for breakfast, peel and chop your apples and pop in the oven, super simple! Check out my mini ramekins with the cute words inside of them, love these! Apple Crisp would make a great addition to a Tea as well! Especially in the mini ramekins.

Ingredients:

2 apples peeled and chopped (today I used Ginger Gold and a Gala)

cinnamon

nutmeg

3/4 cup brown sugar

3/4 cup flour

3/4 cup quick cooking oats

1 stick unsalted butter plus 2 TBSP

Place your apples in ramekins, I did 1 regular size and 2 minis and I only used 1 and a half apples. Sprinkle and toss the apples with cinnamon and nutmeg. Mix the rest of the ingredients until they “crumble”. Place on top of apples, you will not use all of the topping for 3 servings. Store extra topping in frig. Bake at 350 for 20 minutes. Enjoy!

A small side post about Norton….. the other day I took some pictures for the blog of something I was making. I look over the pictures very well, usually! I did this time as well. However when I looked back at this picture, after I had posted it, I noticed someone got their little eyes in the picture and these eyes are flaming red! LOL See if you can find the picture with Mr. Norton in the background from this week!!!!!
