Easy Yeast Rolls

Today I am sharing another favorite recipe that I have been making for many, many years! It would not be a celebration in my house without homemade rolls or bread! Yeast dough is one of my favorite things to bake. I love the kneading, the rising and the shaping. OH and the best part of all….the smell while it is baking!!! Usually it is not a lot of effort for a delicious result!
This recipe is an old one passed down in a preschool cookbook, where I used to work. It truly is easy. If you have never worked with yeast before, this is a great starter recipe! Awesome for the little ones to do too!
ENJOY!

Easy Yeast Rolls
2 cups warm water (the perfect temperature is right when you can’t hold your finger under the water anymore because of the heat)
2 packages of yeast
2 eggs
6 ½ cups flour
1/3 cup sugar
½ cup butter, melted
1 tsp. salt
Mix the water and yeast, allow to sit for 5 minutes. Then add the remaining ingredients. It is a good idea to add the flour a little bit at a time. Remove from the bowl and knead the dough on a lightly floured surface for 5 to 10 minutes. To knead, just roll the dough in a ball and push it away from you continually. Simple! Let rest for 20 minutes covered with a damp paper towel. Shape into balls or a loaf and place in a greased pan. Let rise for 30-45 minutes. You want your dough to double in size. Bake at 350 degrees for 15 minutes. I use 2 11×7 pans and I get 12 rolls in each. ENJOY!
