Harvest Bark

What lies behind you and what lies in front of you, pales in comparison to what lies inside of you. Ralph Waldo Emerson

Most holidays, I make some kind of bark. I have been doing this since my children were small. I started making it because it was an easy project for my children to make to give to others. I have recently seen recipes that start with graham crackers as the base. Sounded good to me! I gathered ingredients based on what I thought my family and friends would enjoy. ENJOY!

Harvest Bark ( adapted from a Pioneer Women recipe)

graham crackers

Ghiradelli dark chocolate wafers (found at Wegmans)

Mini Candy Corn, love all things mini!! (found at Target)

Dry Roasted Sunflower seeds

Broken pretzel pieces

Harvest colored M-n-M’s

Harvest colored sprinkles

Line a cookie sheet with foil and lay the graham crackers on the whole pan. They don’t have to be perfect as you will break the bark in pieces when you are done. Melt your wafers in the microwave. I melt for 30 second intervals but stir ALOT! Spread the chocolate wafers all over the graham crackers. I used one bag of wafers for one pan of graham crackers. Then add your topping in any order you wish. Once te toppings are on, add your sprinkles to make it festive! Let the bark sit at room temperature until it is set. then break into pieces. Mmm Good!
