Today I am sharing another recipe that would work well for Thanksgiving! I tried these potatoes over a year ago and didn’t have much success. I saw them done last week on The Chew and figured out why they didn’t work the first time. So, I created my own version!
4 baking potatoes
Shredded Swiss/Gruyère shredded cheese mix (Trader Joe’s)
Butter
Salt/Pepper
Chicken Broth
Place all 4 potatoes in the microwave for 8 minutes. This is to make cutting them easier. Then you slice each potato, see picture below. When you cut your slices DO NOT cut all the way through the potato, you want about 1/4 inch between each slice. Place in a greased baking dish. Then you place cheese between each slice. I also put small slices of butter between about 3 slices in each potato. I sprinkled all with salt and pepper and poured chicken broth over the potatoes, not too much. Bake at 375 for 40 minutes. VERY YUMMY! If you want to do for Thanksgiving, you could prepare the day before, then bake on Thanksgiving day! Enjoy!
