Little Chefs Week / FUN

Today I am sharing my most fun recipe! I have had this recipe and been making this for close to 18 years! When my children were small, we took these little classes from Ms. Judy. She ran a program called Play Pals and eventually changed the name to Wee Friends. We loved Ms. Judy and we all had a great time in her classes. She made her own play dough and gave us the recipe. I have made our own play dough ever since then and it is way too much FUN!

One year in high school my daughter had a concussion. She could not watch tv, text, or do much of anything. She had to remain still and quiet. I went back to everything I did with her or that she loved when she was little! And of course I made play dough! I even bought her a new play dough toy! It allows you to make ice cream and has lots of gadgets with it. The play dough kept her from going stir crazy in the quiet house!

If your children are older they can help you stir the play dough on the stove with VERY close supervision. If they are little they can mix the water, oil and food coloring for you before you put it on the stove. Everyone can take a turn kneading it when it is done, just make sure it cools. For the play dough “tools”, look around your house and use your imagination!!! I still have toys made for play dough but we always pulled out cookie cutters, anything that you can roll with, potato head pieces are fun tools too, the list is endless!

ENJOY and HAVE FUN!!!!!
