One of our purposes in life is to show love and kindness to others. Easter is a beautiful time to do that! When you think of others, when you put time and thought into people, the world IS a better place!
I have been making Easter Baskets and Easter treats for quite a long time! I love doing them! This year I decided to create Nostalgic Easter Baskets! I came up with a list of questions then I asked the recipients of my baskets these questions. Here’s a small sample:
What were your favorites growing up, toy, candy, food, drink, etc? Did you have a favorite sports team? Do you remember going to church as a child? Did you have a favorite scripture? You can tailor your questions based on what type of baskets you wish to do. I did mainly food/goodies type baskets with a small toy thrown in if I could find. Also love using comic books for those childhood collectors!
I compiled my lists, did a little shopping, pulled out the baskets I already have, and created my Nostalgic Baskets! FUN!
TIP: You can hopefully find Nostalgia candy in your area! Here in Maryland, we have a cute shop that sells it on Main Street in Ellicott City. Wegmans actually sells some too.
For 3 of my recipients I printed their favorite scripture on vellum paper, backed it with a vibrant color cardstock and added a ribbon.
I can only share a few pictures with you as some of my recipients read my blog!! ENJOY!
