Patriotic Wreath

Philippians 4:6-7 “Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.”

May you go into your day knowing that God is walking right beside you!

Today I am sharing another project I did with my friend Liz! We always have a fun time when we get together! She has the best sense of humor! A friend posted this project on Facebook, thank you Janine! I made mine and put on my front door for Memorial day and with flag day fast approaching and the Fourth of July, I think it will remain up until after the fourth.

This is a super simple, super quick project! You need a 16 inch wire wreath form, 18 bandanas (6 red, 6 navy and 6 white). You need a pair of really good scissors (see my story below) and less an hour of your time! You simple cut the bandanas in half then loop them around the wreath. See my pictures for how to do this. The example I followed did all the navy on one side then alternate the red and the white. You can add stars on the navy side, we did not add stars. I have galvanized steel stars in my mind and I found a few but wasn’t thrilled with how they looked. I like it without. That’s it, then hang on your front door to show your Patriotic Spirit! No glue, no fuss, no muss!

I purchased the bandanas on Amazon and I have posted this to give you enough time to order, receive and make in time for the fourth, maybe even flag day!

So Liz and I start this project and let me lay it all out there…I am NOT known for having great scissors in my home!! I have scissors that work and I have been content with them. My beautiful, talented and hilarious friend Liz is always giving me special little treasures. I dropped something by to her and she had a sweet little bag for me. Inside the bag were guest towels (I have an obsession for guest towels LOL) and a pair of scissors with a note that read “Friends don’t let friends craft with bad scissors” I died with laughter! Liz has been such a great support in my life. my “Sister in Christ” but one thing she can always do is make me belly laugh! Love this lady!

I hope you will try this simple wreath for your All American holidays!

Now to find a summer wreath project!!

ENJOY!
