Peppermint Bark

Today I am sharing my peppermint bark recipe! I have seen many versions of this bark and many posts about it so I thought I would add my version! Which I’m sure is just like or very similar to all the others! Bark makes a quick, easy well-loved gift for the holidays! Looks pretty in a dish on any table too! ENJOY!

Gather to Enjoy Peppermint Bark

milk or dark chocolate candy melts, I never measure for this but a pound will work well

white chocolate candy melts, again a pound will work

1/2 tsp. Peppermint extract

candy canes crushed in a food processor

candy canes broken

I normally use mini candy canes for this but for my broken bits I only had regular candy canes, they work just as well.

Melt your regular chocolate in the microwave. I put them in a glass bowl and micro for 30 seconds at a time, stirring well after each time. They don’t take long at all to melt. Once melted stir in the peppermint extract. Pour into a parchment lined baking sheet, spread evenly and allow to set. Once set melt the white chocolate the same way. When melted stir in a few small handfuls of your crushed candy canes, stir very gently so your candy does not turn pink! Pour over the regular chocolate and spread evenly. Sprinkle with the broken candy canes and gently press them into the chocolate. ENJOY!
