QUICK Seafood Recipe

Today I am sharing a very quick recipe for crab. It is so delicious and a great way to serve a fast healthy meal! There is a good seafood restaurant near me, this was always one of my favorite things to get but when they changed their name, they changed the menu and removed this item. I have a few family members that would always order this as well. I am sure my recipe trying to duplicate theirs is  different but it is my version and oh so delish!

I started planning my Mother’s Day menu and immediately thought of this! I was looking for something that wouldn’t leave me in the kitchen for the whole day or for the whole celebration! I also was in the mood for seafood! I went to Costco and picked up 2 small shrimp trays, super easy just open and serve! I also picked up 3 containers of Phillips Crab meat. These are 16 ounce containers and they cost 15.99 each which is a good deal for crab! Of course growing up in Maryland and eating A LOT of crabs, I do prefer crab from the Chesapeake Bay. That was not happening at this time of year and when serving 10 people! As a side note, local crab can be very pricey but make no mistake it is the best and the taste is incredible! However when serving many people or if you are trying to watch your costs, Phillips is a really good alternative

NO pictures for this one, just simply forgot to take them!

ENJOY!

Crab sauteed in butter

16 ounce container of Phillips crab meat (I doubled the recipe for 10 people and it was ALL gone!!)

1 stick of Land O Lakes LIGHT butter

1 shallot, peeled and chopped fine

Melt half the stick of butter and add in the shallots. Saute for a few minutes then add in half of the crab. BE Careful to gently stir (more like folding in ) the crab, you want to keep the large pieces. Saute for 5 minutes then add the other half stick butter. Stir until melted and add the rest of the crab. Saute until hot. Serve on a platter and enjoy!
