I’ve always felt comforted by the word Sanctuary and its meaning. We sang the song at our wedding:
Lord, prepare me to be a sanctuary Pure and holy, tried and true
With thanksgiving, I’ll be a living
Sanctuary for You
Dear friends gave us a platter as a gift and the pattern is called Sanctuary. Each time I have a gathering , we end up sitting on our back porch which I call my Sanctuary. It is a quiet space with no TV, peacefully surrounded by our fairly quiet backyard with flowers, birds chirping and the calmness all around. It is where I retreat when I just need to feel my heart lightened and feel at peace.
Where is your Sanctuary?
