Spiralizer

Joy is what happens to us when we allow ourselves to recognize how good things really are.

I have spent several months researching a few kitchen products/gadgets. The one I am sharing with you today is the Spiralizer. There are several types on the market and they range in price. I decided to try the Paderno Spiralizer 3 blade. There is a 4 blade model as well. It is lightweight and does not take up too much room. One of the features I like are the blades store inside the unit. It is very easy to use and doesn’t take any strength to use it! You just need to follow the directions. The only negative I have found so far is the instruction manual does not tell you what each blade does. As you will see in my pictures, I have made the ever popular zucchini/yellow squash noodles sauteed in olive oil with garlic and grape heirloom tomatoes, curly baked fries and I’ve even added it to buttered rice noodles with shrimp. I have mostly used the blade that makes the thin spirals but have experimented with the other blades. I will be using one of the blades this week to make an apple pie and also apple chips! YUMMY!

If you are thinking about purchasing one, I suggest you go to Williams-Sonoma online and watch the great video they have connected to the product. It was what made my final decision to purchase this model. ENJOY!
