Valentine Decorating

Welcome to Monday, a new week. May you turn over any worries or uncertainties to God and enter this week with a heart and mind at peace.

I enjoy decorating! A new season or holiday is a perfect time to add a few different decor touches to your home! There are some holidays that you might not go all out for, however, you can keep your home decor feeling fresh by adding even the smallest most subtle touch. Valentine’s Day is one holiday I don’t go all out for. I always keep the holiday spirit with yummy treats from my kitchen and letting those special people in my life know I’m thinking of them! I do try to keep a pretty decorated dinning room table for most holidays.

Today I am sharing my dinning room table decor with you! You don’t need to be entertaining guests to decorate your table! Although it may get you in the spirit to have a last minute lunch or dinner for friends! About a month ago, I purchased a few black and white cards. This inspired my theme! I wanted to use black, white and red for the color scheme. I simply started thinking what I already had and my table came together!

I have a friend who LOVES using cloth napkins! She has given me several for gifts and she has converted me to using them as often as I can! They really can add a festive, elegant touch to any table or meal. You can purchase inexpensive plain colored napkins online. Most printed cloth napkins can be a tad pricey. Do consider that you are re using them! I wanted a certain print for my table so I went to the craft store to look at fabric! NOW don’t get too excited….I do NOT sew at all and I can’t cut straight either!! But when I saw this Mary Engelbreit cherry print fabric I knew I needed to make some napkins! Super simple with a product called Stitch Witchery and an iron! Super inexpensive too! I made 8 napkins and shared 4 with my friend! I think it adds a nice touch to my table! What do you think?

Just think, if you sat down for a regular weeknight meal at your decorated table with cloth napkins! An ordinary meal becomes a festive occasion! ENJOY!
