White Hot Chocolate

May love and laughter light your days,
and warm your heart and home.
May good and faithful friends be yours,
wherever you may roam.
May peace and plenty bless your world
with joy that long endures.
May all life’s passing seasons
bring the best to you and yours.
– Irish Blessing

I served White Hot Chocolate at my Christmas tea. I looked for a recipe online and decided to create my own. It was simple to make and easy to serve from the pot on the stove. I originally wanted to use the slow cooker but decided I could regulate the temperature best on the stove. This would be a great addition to any holiday event or simply half the recipe and make for yourself to enjoy with a good book! ENJOY!

White Hot Chocolate

6 cups milk

1/2 tsp vanilla (this will change the color, if you truly want white than use a clear vanilla, I used what I had on hand)

2 (4oz) Ghiradelli white chocolate bars, broken into small pieces

Place all the ingredients on the stove in a saucepan. Turn the heat on low and allow the chocolate to melt and the milk to warm. Do not allow this to boil. I served with peppermint sticks so it would be Peppermint White Hot Chocolate! You could go all out and make a Hot Chocolate bar. Use a dark or regular Ghiradelli bar and make a batch of white and a batch of regular Hot Chocolate. Serve with peppermint sticks, marshmallows, sprinkles, chocolate shavings, etc…the possibilities are endless! Mmmmmmm
