I decided not to post yesterday as we learned about the tragedy and lost lives of the shooting at the DC Naval Yard. Yet another senseless act so close to home. None of us can begin to understand these violent acts. We can only hold tight to those around us, send prayers to the families and people involved and pray that someday we will be a kinder, gentler nation without hate. May we all open our hearts a little wider to those around us. May we learn to love and show love to all those we encounter during our daily lives. May we take each day to pause and treasure each precious moment we are given.
