Mini Floral Bouquets

Flowers are like friends, they bring color for your world. Anonymous

My beautiful friend Liz has such a caring, generous heart with a great sense of humor! I was sharing with her at a gathering how much I love flowers especially these small bouquets. I have purchased several of these bouquets as gifts and to decorate my home. Liz said she knew how to make them and she was willing to teach me as well! One morning over tea, Liz taught me how to make these beautiful mini bouquets! I am so appreciative of our friendship and so grateful to learn this new skill!

You simply start in the middle and work your way to the outside. Once you have what you like, tie the bouquet together with string or simply use a rubber band. Liz also shared a great tip of looking around your yard for leaves to add in your bouquet! I’ve always picked the flowers in my yard and put in vases but never thought to use leaves!

I purchased 4 bunches at the grocery store, 2 types of mums, some berries and a filler that the florist help me pick out. I made 6 different arrangements with those flowers. Most Liz helped me with and I did a few on my own. I even tried using Oasis in a ceramic pumpkin for my last few flowers and filler! This is where practice makes perfect comes in to play! Although I won’t be perfect, the more I make the better I will get! A huge money saver to make your own!

My flower tip….change the water in your arrangements daily! It will help them last longer! ENJOY!

What fun skills do you have that you can teach a friend OR what are you wanting to learn? Perhaps one of your friends can teach you something new!
