Tea for Two

I like the pause that tea allows. Waris Ahluwalia
Capital Tea is a tea shop in Annapolis, Md. I started enjoying their teas when my husband and I were dating and we would visit Annapolis. I have not been down there in a while. I was pleased to see last year that Capital Tea had a small kiosk in a mall I was visiting. I recently discovered that they have come to the mall closest to me! I sampled a wonderful Oolong tea when I was there awhile ago. I had a lovely chat with the girl working there all about tea! I purchased the Oolong and a very nice Lemongrass Ginger Serenity tea. I have been cold brewing the lemongrass, it is delicious! I use a cold brew pitcher, simply put the tea in and add water and let it steep in the refrigerator. The pitcher has a filter so when pouring the tea leaves do not come out in your cup.
I love having tea parties. However…….you do not need a party to enjoy the fine art of all things tea! You can create some miniature savories and enjoy them with yourself or one friend! For this tea, I made ham salad and pimento cheese spread and placed them in hollowed out Campari tomatoes. You cut the tops off the tomatoes and scoop the insides out then place upside down on a paper towel for about 10 minutes. Fill with any type of spread, add in mini biscuits and serve with tea! Delicious!
After all, everyday should feel like a party! ENJOY!
